FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
..........................................................................................
How often can I bathe
my dog or cat?
A: It’s a personal preference and something
that is determined by your pets skin and skin condition.
Some pets and their owners like them bathed weekly
or bi-weekly or some once a year. We do recommend about
every four weeks as general rule. Always bath your
pet BEFORE you put on your monthly topical flea control.
No matter how waterproof or water resistant your flea
protection is a proper bath will dilute the effectiveness
of long-term treatments.
Why do I need topical flea treatments when
it is cold out?
A: In Long Beach we have flea season 12 months a
year. Sometimes during the year, when it is cold outside,
fleas are less active, not inactive. People commonly
assume that they don’t need flea treatments during
the winter months and they are always the people most
surprised when their pets are loaded with fleas. Don’t
make that mistake – it’s really not fair
to your pet.
Why does my pet shed more after they leave the groomer?
A: The grooming process loosens the hair from the
skin when it is bathed, brushed, blown dry, and styled – although
we do everything we can to remove the loose hair, some
hair will continue to shed one to two days after leaving
the groomer.
What is the FURminator™?
A: The FURminator™ improves the appearance of your pet
and your environment with the FURminator™ shed-less
treatment ... a special anti-shedding treatment that
dramatically reduces the mess and clean up of unwanted
pet hair.
The secret to the FURminator™ treatment is a patented
tool designed to stop the shedding where it begins
in the undercoat of your pet. This revolutionary grooming
device utilizes a unique blade that removes loose hair
while leaving your pet with a shiny and healthy coat.
How much will it cost to groom my dog or
cat?

condition, size, services you would like and your pets’ ability
